This Privacy Policy describes how VBW International GmbH (hereafter referred to as VBW) uses the personal information collected when you visit any of the VBW websites, online applications or mobile platforms that contain a direct link to this Privacy Policy. A service may supplement this Privacy Policy with additional data protection provisions or additional privacy notices relating to certain features of that service.

Your privacy is very important to us, so we only process your personal data in accordance with the statutory provisions (DGPR, Telecommunications Act 2003). In this Privacy Policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing as it relates to this website.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called “cookies”. These are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They will not cause any damage to your device or software.

We use cookies to make our services user-friendly. Some cookies will remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

If you do not want this, you can configure your browser to inform you when cookies are set so that you can enable them on an individual basis.

Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Web Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will usually be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP-address will be truncated beforehand within the area of Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the whole IP address be first transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymization is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP-address which your browser conveys within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You may also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data on your use of the website generated by the cookie (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

We also use Facebook’s "Custom Audience" technology, a service provided by Facebook Ireland Limited, Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. The data collected by integrating cookies, web beacons and similar third-party technology allows us to more effectively assess and design our promotional activities on Facebook, for example we can show certain postings and ads only to visitors to our web presence. We only use cookies, web beacons and similar, proven and widely-used third-party technologies to collect this data. The data thus collected will only be transmitted to Facebook in encrypted form. Any personal data relating to individual users is anonymized and not visible to us. Further information can be found in Facebook's Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. If you do not want your data to be collected by “Custom Audience”, you can deactivate “Custom Audience” here: https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen.

VBW uses Google Remarketing Technology, a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. With this feature, we can target you as a website visitor with personalised, interest-based ads when you visit other websites on the Google or DoubleClick Display Network. Google uses cookies stored on your computer to evaluate your website usage, demographic characteristics and interests. To analyse your website usage, which is a prerequisite for interest-based advertising, Google uses cookies that are stored on your computer. The information generated by the cookie is transmitted to and stored on a Google server, and can be statistically analysed by VBW to help generate interest-related advertisements. Google may transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. You can opt out of data collection and storage at any time with effect for the future. You can disable Google’s use of cookies by visiting https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en to deactivate Google advertising. Alternatively, you can disable the use of third-party cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page at: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. These web analysis services are used to improve the functions and services of VBW on an ongoing basis. Only non-personal data is used for analysis and reporting purposes. VBW will not associate this data with other personal information. We have an appropriate order data processing agreement with the provider. Our relationship with the web analytics provider is based on the Privacy Shield. The legal basis for data processing is constituted by the provisions of the Telecommunications Act § 96 para. 3 as well as art. 6, para. 1(a) (consent) and/or (f) (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our purpose in the sense of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our services and our web presence. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, user data is pseudonymised.
